About

About Dr. Blue:

Hello!  Welcome!  My name is Jim Blue and I am a licensed psychologist here in the great state of Texas.  I have spent my whole adult life in what might be called “the service industry” – first in the restaurant business for many years, then in this “helping profession” for the past 25 years.

It is my great desire to help people live happier and healthier lives – to get past old traumas or new stumbling blocks and “find” their true, authentic selves.  In all my years of working with people, I never cease to be amazed at the ability of folks to face and overcome major difficulties in life.  It’s not always easy, but it is always worth it.

Maybe you’re facing something right now, eh?  Some past life-trauma from childhood – abuse perhaps – that you’ve never quite been able to overcome?  Low self-esteem or a poor self-image from the way you were treated as a kid?  Negative thoughts about yourself that keep sabotaging your success?  Maybe it is just some new life situation that you don’t know how to manage.  Perhaps anxiety, worry, or depression have gotten the best of you.

Whatever your concern, I’m here to tell you that life CAN get better.  You CAN overcome a LOT of issues in life, as long as you’re willing to face them honestly, take responsibility for your own health and happiness, and take the necessary steps.  I have walked these pathways in my own life, and I am ready, willing, and able to walk with you on this journey.  The therapy process can help you rid yourself of self-defeat and can open new doors of possibility for growth as a person.

If you are ready to take the next step towards creating the life you’ve imagined for yourself, then give me a call, and let’s get to work.  I can be reached at 817-500-4188 or at Jim.Blue@charter.net.

PS. If you happen to be interested, the links below will tell you just about anything else you might like to know about my background and training.  Talk soon!  Jim B.
